Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Practitioner, with some experience in the field of pain management, to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients suffering from chronic or acute pain conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pain management practices, including the administration of medications and the ability to assess and monitor vital signs.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with pain management needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Perform routine assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history.
- Engage in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
- Provide education to patients regarding pain management strategies and medication usage.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including those involved in hospital medicine, critical care, and primary care settings.

Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP).
- Two or more years of experience in pain management, anesthesiology, or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacology and pain management protocols.
- Proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures and injections, if needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to educate and counsel patients effectively.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; eClinicalWorks experience preferred but not required.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Excellent clinical skills and the ability to perform thorough patient evaluations.
- Strong understanding of pain management principles and treatment modalities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
