The primary purpose of the Staffing Coordinator position is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, and as may be directed by facility administration.
As a Staffing Coordinator you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Prepare monthly work schedules for nursing department, maintain current and accurate "as worked" schedule.
Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
