Model Home Cleaner – Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Model Home Cleaner in the Plumas Lake area who takes pride in creating spotless, beautifully presented spaces. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys quiet, independent work and has a meticulous eye for detail.
This position includes maintaining two sets of model homes (four homes in each set).
- Community #1 (2 Model Homes) requires cleaning once per week
- Community #2 (2 Model Homes) requires cleaning once per week
Across both communities, cleaners are responsible for ensuring every home consistently meets strict showroom‑ready standards. Work is performed outside of model viewing hours, typically early mornings or evenings to allow for uninterrupted focus, efficiency, and consistent quality.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain model homes to professional, showroom‑quality standards
- Perform full interior cleaning, including:
- Restroom cleaning and restocking of toiletries and paper goods
- Dusting and cleaning of all flat surfaces, décor items, shelving, and furniture
- Cleaning baseboards, door frames, and trim
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping all flooring types
- Glass and mirror spot‑cleaning throughout the home
- Interior window cleaning and surface polishing
- Ensure all décor, pillows, bedding, and staging elements are neatly arranged
- Identify and correct minor presentation issues (smudges, fingerprints, streaks, clutter, etc.)
- Restock all company‑provided supplies and ensure they are organized and presentable
- Report any damages, maintenance issues, or concerns to management promptly
- Maintain a professional, respectful presence while working in high‑value properties
- Follow company cleaning standards, checklists, and quality expectations consistently
Requirements
- Previous model home cleaning is a must. (This is not a private home or janitorial position)
- Exceptional attention to detail , you notice what others miss
- Strong communication skills for reporting updates, issues, or supply needs
- Reliable, punctual, and self‑motivated with strong time‑management skills
- Able to work independently in quiet, high‑value environments
- Comfortable following detailed cleaning checklists and presentation standards
- Previous cleaning experience in residential, hospitality, or commercial settings preferred

Schedule
- Part-time
