The Journeyman Electrician will support DHI’s Water Management service line. This role involves coordinating, managing, implementing, and performing electrical installation, rig-up/rig-down, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, commissioning, and support for DHI water treatment and automated equipment systems.
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards in fast-paced field environments.

Perform rigup/rigdown, installation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems supporting DHI automated and water treatment equipment.

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain 480VAC/277VAC/120VAC electrical systems and associated equipment.

Install and terminate disconnects, breakers, transformers, motor starters, VFDs, junction boxes, panels, and control systems.

Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, drawings, onelines, and installation schematics.

Troubleshoot electrical circuits and components using multimeters, ammeters (clamp), meggers, and related diagnostic equipment.

Ensure all electrical installations comply with NEC requirements, local codes, and company safety standards.

Assist in layout and routing of conduit, cable tray, and field wiring systems.

Coordinate with Automation Technicians and SCADA personnel during equipment installations and commissioning.

Identify electrical deficiencies and implement corrective actions in the field.

Support rapid deployment and startup of temporary and permanent treatment systems.

Communicate with supervisors and peers on equipment status, electrical issues, and job progress.

Ensure product quality, installation accuracy, and overall jobsite safety.

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Active Journeyman Electrician License required

Master Electrician License preferred

Vocational/Technical electrical training preferred

5+ years of handson electrical experience in industrial, oilfield, water treatment, or heavy commercial environments.

Experience with 480VAC power distribution systems.

Experience with MCCs, VFDs, transformers, motor controls, and industrial electrical installations.

Experience working in fastpaced field environments with changing jobsite conditions.

Experience supporting automated equipment, instrumentation, or control systems preferred.

Strong knowledge of NEC code requirements and safe electrical installation practices.

Electrical knowledge (VFDs, power supplies, relays, contactors, breakers, transformers, etc.).

Proficiency with conduit bending, wire pulling, cable termination, and panel installation.

Working proficiency with electrical measurement equipment including multimeters, meggers, and clamp meters.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults, shorts, grounding issues, and equipment failures.

Ability to read and understand electrical plans, specifications, drawings, and installation schematics.

Proficiency with various hand tools, power tools, and torque tools.

Strong troubleshooting techniques and interpersonal communication skills.

Must be capable of working around energized equipment while following proper safety procedures.
Work schedule to vary based on business needs, with options such as 5 days on/2 days off, 8 days on/6 days off, or other schedules as directed by the management team.
