Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Team Member at Parlor Doughnuts McKinney, where your enthusiasm and kitchen skills will help create delicious, high-quality doughnuts and a small food menu in a fast-paced environment. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS A WEEK FROM 4:30AM-2PM.
Duties
- Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as a fryer, oven, mixer, slicer, and other appliances safely and efficiently
- Follow food handling procedures to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination
- Support meal preparation by slicing, dicing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain a clean work environment by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with FOH staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely service
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient inventory management to support efficient kitchen operations
- Adhere strictly to food safety management practices, including proper food storage, temperature control, and sanitation protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent food service delivery
Experience
- Background in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with food industry standards is recommended
- Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating commercial kitchen equipment is recommended
- Knowledge of safety standards related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Proven ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal quality
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff
