American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience.

Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
-
36 hours per week, no on-call requirements

NICU setting caring for neonatal patients
-
Responsibilities include monitoring intake/output, assisting with breastfeeding initiation, and participating in multi-disciplinary rounds
-
5 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
-
Every other holiday coverage required
-
No floating requirements
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience

ASN required; BSN preferred

Epic EMR experience required

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify

Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and modifies individualized care plans, and implements nursing interventions for neonatal patients

Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team

Administers medications using barcode scanning technology

Supports patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting hazards

Candidate selection involves a leader interview

RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract

Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any of their locations
