Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Foreman to oversee site development projects. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining project schedules. The working Foreman will serve as a critical link between project management and field crews, ensuring smooth execution of earthwork site development activities.
Duties
- Supervise and manage overall operations of 5-10 crew members on-site, providing clear direction and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee safety compliance by enforcing federal safety regulations and OSHA standards across the site.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specified standards and contractual requirements.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Operate Trimble GPS systems for grading and excavation; perform accurate site layout, conduct routine jobsite inspections, and review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings before and after work begins to ensure compliance and precision.
- Manage project scheduling tasks including coordinating construction activities to optimize productivity.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts by interpreting schematics and using tools like ohmmeters or other testing devices as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing site development projects with a strong background in earthwork and site supervision.
- Familiarity with federal safety regulations (OSHA) and quality control procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Strong management skills with experience managing and directing earthwork and equipment operators effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.
- Valid experience with Trimble GPS for grading, excavation, and site layout.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $67.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
