About the Role
This is a hands-on role in an active, occupied family residence. We are looking for someone who takes real pride in the craft of housekeeping, including laundry, linens, fine finishes, and the daily rhythm of a lived-in home, and who works with the discretion and judgment that private household service requires.
Responsibilities
Detailed daily housekeeping, laundry and linen care (folding, ironing, steaming, proper storage), bedroom and bathroom detailing, kitchen and common-area upkeep, careful handling of furniture, fabrics, and personal items, deep cleaning as directed, and owner- and guest-arrival preparation and post-stay resets. Reports maintenance concerns, damage, leaks, odors, or anything unusual promptly and through the appropriate channel.
The Environment
The housekeeper works fluidly and unobtrusively around the family's schedule, professional, warm, and comfortable operating in the background. The role coordinates with an established household staff team; collaboration and clear communication matter as much as individual task execution. The ideal candidate is proactive and observant, holds standards without being prompted, and speaks up when something needs attention.
Private household service is not a checklist. The right candidate understands the difference between finishing tasks and maintaining a home, and brings that judgment to every shift.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
