Overview:
We are a small business online bookstore spreading the joy of reading through our subscription and one-time sales of books. We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate is able to move and lift heavy boxes (50+ lbs) as well as efficiently and accurately pack boxes to be shipped out. No prior experience is neccessary and full training will be provided.
Note that this is an hourly position.
Schedule: Typical hours include working between hours of 8am-5pm for acceptance of deliveries, but is usually very flexible for hours of packing. This is a full-time position with a 40 hr work week. Anticipated start date is ASAP. Must be 18+ to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment
- Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with company safety
- Operate moving equipment
- Restock and replenish as appropriate
- Perform general maintenance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Periodic bending, kneeling, lifting of 50+ pounds
Skills:
- Understand shipping labels and product SKUs.
- Familiarity with proper packaging methods and the ability to interpret visual aids for specific packaging requirements.
- Knowledge of common material handling equipment.
- Able to work effectively both independently (self-motivated) and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer usage
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
