Venue Report is the place to discover the world’s most design-forward spaces and stays built for groups, gatherings, and celebrations. The marketplace helps our audience find venues for weddings, girls’ trips, retreats, birthday weekends, and every “we need a spot for all of us” moment.
Now we’re expanding our Room Service offering: a concierge-style service that helps people lock in the perfect group hotel rooms anywhere in the world. Think: the best friend who knows every boutique hotel, can negotiate a great rate, and answers all your “so how many rooms should we block?” questions.
We’re hiring someone based in the Nashville area to lead and grow this arm of the business while managing group stays across the U.S. and internationally. This role will be compensated with a base salary plus commission and full benefits.
What You’ll Do
- Build and scale the Room Service program systems, strategy, hotel relationships, processes.
- Manage global group room blocks from inquiry to checkout: sourcing hotels, negotiating rates, tracking pickup, managing contracts, and guiding clients with confidence.
- Act as the friendly expert: the group-trip bestie helping clients figure out the perfect stay plan for their celebration or event.
- Partner closely with hotels and design-forward properties worldwide, especially those featured in our curated marketplace.
- Triage and convert Room Service leads that come directly from our venue marketplace, editorial content, and booking journeys.
- Maintain rooming lists, deposit schedules, cutoff dates, and all logistical details with extreme clarity.
- Create internal workflows, templates, checklists, and dashboards that make the Room Service program scale elegantly.
- Collaborate with editorial, marketplace, operations, and partnerships teams to keep room-block offerings aligned with our brand and venues.
- Identify upsell opportunities: suites, upgrades, welcome gifts, additional events or spaces needed.
- Represent Venue Report locally and globally networking with partners and staying ahead of group-travel trends.
Who You Are
- 3+ years in group sales, group reservations, hotel room blocks, or event housing.
- Strong negotiator with excellent communication skills: you’re warm, efficient, and proactive.
- A natural organizer who loves a clean timeline, a tidy spreadsheet, and a good deadline.
- Entrepreneurial: excited to build something new, not just maintain it.
- Design-savvy and boutique-hotel obsessed you understand the Venue Report aesthetic and what makes a stay “good for groups.”
- Based in the Nashville region with flexibility for local meetings and connections, but excited to serve clients and hotels around the world.
- Bonus: CRM experience and a network within the hospitality world.
Compensation
- Base salary depending on experience
- Bonus/commission tied to room-block performance.
