Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist, CNC Operator & Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and tooling will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about machining, manufacturing innovation, and continuous improvement to contribute to high-quality product development in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Set up, operate, and program CNC machines including lathes and milling machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to ensure precise machining operations.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using Fanuc controls and other programming languages to improve machining efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling, and mechanical components.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste, improve workflow, and enhance overall productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment while adhering to industry standards for quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC lathes and milling machines with a strong understanding of CNC programming techniques.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools for designing and programming parts.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T specifications, and geometric measurements.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other inspection tools.
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, electrical discharge machining (EDM), machining processes, and mechanical schematics.
- Strong math skills with the ability to perform complex calculations related to machining tolerances and geometry.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience with lean manufacturing practices is preferred but not required. Join us in shaping the future of manufacturing by leveraging your technical expertise in CNC machining! We value innovation, precision, and dedication—qualities that drive our success every day.
