A well-established outpatient Family Medicine clinic in California is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to pediatric and adult patients
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
- Complete chart closure within 72 hours
- Collaborate with clinical and support staff to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar outpatient setting
- Active California license at the time of submission
- Active DEA prior to start date
- BLS Certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan
Nurse Practitioner Requirements
- Furnishing License with Schedule II authority
Physician Assistant Requirements
- California Controlled Substance Education Course Certificate
Preferred
- Chronic Pain Management experience
- ORP (Ordering, Referring, and Prescribing) Medi-Cal enrollment
- Providers not currently ORP enrolled must be willing to enroll during credentialing.
Credentialing & Compliance
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 45-90 days
- CVs must include month and year for all employment history
- All employment gaps must be clearly explained
