Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently, maintaining consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to support the culinary team
- Follow food handling and safety procedures rigorously to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment
- Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate food service operations during busy periods
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food presentation techniques to enhance dish appeal
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to plan menus and execute meal preparation efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Fine dining experience or catering background is highly desirable
- Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and commitment to food safety practices
- Effective communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members
- Demonstrated kitchen experience with a focus on quality, cleanliness, and safety standards
