We are seeking a 2nd Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love of education. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, science, and social studies
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize lessons, track student progress, and communicate with parents and colleagues
- Design and deliver assessment-driven instruction to monitor student understanding and tailor interventions accordingly
- Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate interactive learning experiences
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student performance, including quantitative analysis for progress evaluation
- Implement academic interventions within Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks to support diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through conflict management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
- Collaborate regularly with fellow teachers on lesson planning, student assessment data analysis, and curriculum development
- Integrate special education practices when working with students requiring additional support or accommodations
- Lead activities that promote physical education, library services, and social-emotional learning to foster well-rounded development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field; teaching certification for elementary grades required
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in an elementary school setting or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, and math instruction for early learners
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special needs using appropriate educational strategies
- Familiarity with assessment-driven instruction methods and data analysis for student progress evaluation
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards, regulations, and best practices in elementary education
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Ability to design instructional materials utilizing instructional design principles and learning technology tools
- Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into lessons is a plus
- Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and promotes positive social interactions
- Bilingual is preferred but not required
