The City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department is seeking to fill a Utility Permit and Coordination Technician (Chief Engineering Tech) vacancy in the Utility Coordination Section. This position performs complex plan reviews for dry utilities desiring to occupy City right-of-way, public utility easements (PUE), and coordinates utility relocations for Capital Improvement Projects. Work is performed under the supervision of a Project Manager or Principal Engineering Technician.
The work location is in the Phoenix City Hall building at 200 W. Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85003. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday with the potential of up to two telework days per week with department approval. Limited overtime may be required during times of high permit intake and processing.
