Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management policies
- Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in line with dental x-ray standards
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and hygiene instructions while demonstrating excellent patient management skills
Requirements
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant license or certification in accordance with state or regional regulations
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is a plus
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners effectively and safely
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with children preferred
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals

Pay: $27.22 - $32.79 per hour
