Overview
As the Director of Environment Services (EVS) in healthcare, you will lead a diverse team of exempt and non-exempt staff. You will be responsible for one or more healthcare sites with high volume, significant complexity, and are the single point of contact for Servicon’s client(s) at this site. You are responsible for delivering best-in-class outcomes for patient, families, clinical staff, clients, and Servicon’s leadership team. This is done at a strategic level, driving operational results that achieve strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all Environmental Services (EVS) operations within assigned healthcare facilities, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual and client requirements.
- Direct all EVS programs, processes, and performance initiatives, including quality improvement, infection prevention, staff training, productivity management, KPI tracking, and budget adherence.
- Ensure healthcare environments are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for EVS-related operational concerns and partner closely with client leadership to achieve service excellence.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, develop, and retain EVS leaders, including Site Managers and Assistant Directors.
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and managers to build strong leadership teams and support career growth.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement best practices, innovative solutions, and operational efficiencies that enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership and cross-functional departments to support strategic goals and operational success.
- Stay current on industry trends, environmental services best practices, products, and regulatory requirements.
What it Takes to be Successful
- 6+ years in healthcare EVS; minimum 5 years at a senior leadership level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team
- Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to run relevant data reports and derive conclusions.
- Exceptional written and oral communication and active listening skills. Demonstrated capabilities to operate with empathy
- Experience working with unions and CBA’s is preferred.
- Proficient with a variety of technology such timekeeping systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), and financial acumen
- May require travel at this level
- Must be Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- A criminal background check, results of which are not necessarily a bar to employment and drug screen are required
- Must possess AND maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record that aligns with company standards

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
