A Custom Framer is responsible for the cutting, assembly and design of Wall décor and custom frames. This position works in a team environment to accomplish the common goal of producing and assembling wall décor and custom frames for customers. Employees will be trained in multiple areas including but not limited to; identifying various types of frame molding, accurate cutting of frame molding and mat board, assembling and joining of frames, and production of wall décor and custom frames. Employees must be dependable, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work at a fast pace.
Must be 18 years or older.
Open availability preferred. (Must be available to work evenings and weekends.)
Previous framing experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants and/or needs.
- Respond with a sense of urgency and respect to ensure friendly and helpful customer service for all customers.
- Assist customers in the custom matting and/or framing of various varieties of artwork. This process includes giving professional advice and/or recommendations as necessary.
- Provide consistent same day turn around time. Customers placing orders for 3 or less quick fits must be offered to have the work done as they shop.
- Provide 10 day turn around for custom work. When projects are late due to various issues customers must be notified prior to the due date.
- Assisting in the store inventory process. Completing weekly store orders of ready-made frames and replenishing of in store merchandise.
- Custom Frame. When not with customers you will be an integral part of the custom framing team.
- Compute sale prices, total purchases, receive and process cash or credit payment; enter work orders, research customer purchase history, etc.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation rules/regulations. Keep work areas clean at all times.
- Assure mats and frames are put away after each customer consultation is completed.
- Continuously check isles to make sure frames are in proper bins and that isles are clean and free of debris.
- Maintain a clear design counter free of merchandise.
- Drive sales in the framing department.
