Igloo is hiring a Maintenance Technician on behalf of an iconic, fast-growing American consumer products manufacturer with more than 75 years of industry leadership. Built on a legacy of quality and innovation, they're looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team and help support continued growth.
This role is responsible for repairing and rebuilding hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrically controlled production equipment. The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and hydraulic drawings is essential.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repair and perform reactive and preventive maintenance for all equipment and facilities.
- Dismantle defective machines/equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Layout, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
- Perform all duties safely.
- Maintain the maintenance shop area in a neat and organized manner.
- Practice 5S daily.
- Other duties as assigned.

Sign-On Bonus
$150 at 30 days and $150 at 60 days
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment. Must be able to operator a sit-down forklift.
- English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
- Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Standing & Walking
Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing.
Postural Requirements
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks.
Lifting & Material Handling
- Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts.
- Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used.
Fine Motor Skills & Tool Use
Use of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision.
Visual Requirements
Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation.
Environmental Conditions
- Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100–120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter.
- High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task.
Additional Job Considerations
These roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours. Technicians may be required to handle heavy molds and materials; use of material handling equipment is provided and encouraged.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
- Problem solving and analytical skill, Action oriented – results oriented, strong technical skills, Mechanical, Knowledge of machine functions, Familiarity with industrial products and Trade school a plus, plastic product mfg. experience.
- Trade school certification preferred. Allen Bradley/GE Fanuc PLC maintenance and programming is desirable.
- Troubleshooting, repair/rebuild of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems.
- Data record accuracy and accountability.

- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
