American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level III NICU position in Webster, TX, requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience and active NRP certification.

Level III NICU setting in a 42-bed unit within a large hospital system
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
13-week contract
-
Patient ratios: 1–3 patients per nurse for Level III acuity; 3–4 patients per nurse for Level II acuity
-
Equipment used includes isolettes, OMNI beds, and phototherapy units
-
EMR systems: Meditech and CPN
-
Common procedures include IV starts and PICC insertions (trained clinicians)
-
Floating to the newborn nursery may be required
-
Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
-
Occasional on-call responsibilities required
-
Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
-
Current NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card) required

BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date

Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required

STABLE certification preferred

Experience with central lines including UAC, UVC, Broviacs, and PICC preferred

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Unit is staffed with 1 charge nurse, 10–15 RNs, and 1 PCT per shift on both day and night shifts
-
A resource nurse will be available on the unit
-
Royal blue scrubs are required

Ideal candidates are team players and self-motivated
-
STABLE certification and central line experience (UAC, UVC, Broviacs, PICC) are a plus and will be considered favorably
