Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
- Take and develop dental x-rays using dental imaging technology such as digital x-ray systems and 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) system, Opendental, ensuring all documentation complies with clinical confidentiality policies.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and assisting with patient management software to schedule appointments and follow-up visits.
- Maintain clinical cleanliness by following dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards, including aseptic technique and dental instrument processing.
- Support the dental team with administrative duties such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical role within a dental clinic environment.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Opendental familiarity with patient management software is preferred.
- Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous; certification in radiography or related fields is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care and work effectively within a team dedicated to general dentistry excellence.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
