Sorensen Architects, Inc. is seeking a versatile, tech-forward Architectural Project Coordinator to support custom single-family residential projects behind the scenes from pre-design through construction administration.
This full-time, in-person role in Culver City, CA offers a salary of $50,000 to $65,000 per year plus benefits. You will collaborate closely with the leadership team, focusing heavily on technical coordination, AI integration, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design & Documentation: Support design development through construction administration, ensuring code compliance, quality assurance, and meticulous document control (RFIs, submittals, and punch lists).
- Coordination & Approvals: Coordinate directly with consulting engineers, subcontractors, and governmental agencies to secure necessary project approvals.
- Project Support: Assist internal leadership in defining project scopes, goals, resource allocations, and timelines while preparing cost estimates, bids, and proposals.
- Financial Tracking: Help issue RFPs, review contracts, track cost reports, and process construction change orders.
- Site Monitoring: Conduct regular site visits to track construction schedules and monitor contractor performance.
- Internal Liaison: Act as an internal liaison, ensuring the production team is aligned with leadership's project goals.
Required Qualifications
- AI Expertise: Demonstrated experience leveraging emerging AI productivity and design tools to optimize workflows.
- Domain Expertise: Experience with single-family residential projects, engineering coordination, technical detailing, and agency approvals.
- Software Proficiency: Strong skills in ArchiCAD, Microsoft Office Suite / and project scheduling tools.
- Code Knowledge: Familiarity with California building, zoning, and accessibility codes.
- Note: A formal architecture degree and license are NOT required for this position.
Bonus Skills
- Operating Systems: High proficiency with Mac environments.
- Design & BIM: Adobe Creative Suite, advanced BIM tools, TwinMotion, or other architectural rendering software.
- Operations Tools: BQE Core and DocuSign.
