The Opportunity
Magic Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced HVAC/ Sales Technician to play a key role in growing our HVAC department.
This position combines strong HVAC technical knowledge with consultative sales. You'll diagnose residential HVAC systems, identify repair and replacement opportunities, and help homeowners confidently choose the right solution for their home.
We're looking for someone who can diagnose a system in the field and then sit down with the homeowner and clearly explain their options without using high-pressure sales tactics.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems.
- Identify system replacement and upgrade opportunities.
- Present Good/Better/Best repair and replacement options.
- Sell HVAC systems, upgrades, and indoor air quality solutions.
- Educate homeowners and confidently explain recommendations.
- Prepare accurate estimates and process digital payments.
- Follow up on opportunities and help drive HVAC department revenue.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing technical and sales training.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of residential HVAC field experience.
- 2+ years of sales experience.
- Strong HVAC diagnostic and technical knowledge.
- Proven ability to identify and close replacement opportunities.
- Strong communication and consultative sales skills.
- Comfortable presenting multiple options and discussing larger investments with homeowners.
- Knowledge of local HVAC codes and industry best practices.
- Highly driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of performing residential HVAC field duties.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- Weekends as needed
- No required on-call schedule
- Optional weekend opportunities available
