Western Covenant University, a private Christian university in Southern California, is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate Religion courses for the Summer 2026 term beginning July 6, 2026.
We are looking to hire urgently, so qualified applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Classes are taught in person at our Los Angeles campus.
Position Details
Western Covenant University is currently interviewing qualified instructors for Religion courses beginning July 6, 2026.
This is a part-time adjunct teaching position. Curriculum and textbooks are provided.
Pay: $35 per hour for instructors with a Master’s degree; $45 per hour for instructors with a PhD
Class format: In person
Class length: 4-hour class sessions
Campus: Los Angeles
Start date: July 6, 2026
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
A Master’s degree in Religion, Theology, Biblical Studies, Divinity, Ministry, or a closely related field
Preferred qualifications include:
A PhD in Religion, Theology, Biblical Studies, or a related field
Doctor of Ministry degree
Prior college-level teaching experience
Experience working with international students, or strong cultural sensitivity and patience
Ability to support and engage learners from diverse linguistic, cultural, and religious backgrounds
Ability to teach in a faith-based university environment
