Summary
The Clinical Quality RN is responsible for collaborating with hospital departments and clinics to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, implement quality improvement activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, with the aim to enhance patient care quality and safety across the system by promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a variety of clinical settings
- Registered Nurse with an unrestricted licensure in the State of Nevada
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six (6) months of employment
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six (6) months of employment
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence
Essential Functions
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and present data-driven reports to leadership teams to inform decision-making.
Quality Improvement Project Management:
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement projects across different clinical areas.
- Facilitate process improvement methodologies such as Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) to optimize workflows and reduce variation in care.
Clinical Practice Consultation:
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance on quality improvement initiatives, best practices, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
- Conduct clinical reviews and identify opportunities for improvement in patient care.
Regulatory and Accreditation Compliance:
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Participate in tracer activities to ensure continuous survey readiness.
- Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including providers, staff, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to promote a culture of quality improvement.
- Facilitate communication and education regarding quality initiatives across the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
