We are looking for an experienced, outgoing bartender to take the lead on our new happy hour program at Handcraft Espresso.
This is not a traditional bartending job. We are located in a Class A downtown office building and are creating a low-volume, high-touch happy hour experience. We're looking for someone creative, personable, and motivated who will get out from behind the bar, engage with customers, build relationships with regulars, and create an environment people want to come back to.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 12:30–7:30 PM
Happy Hour: Begins at 2:00 PM
No late nights. No weekends. Closed federal holidays.
Pay: $17/hour + 100% of your tips — no tip sharing

The Role
Our bar will focus on beer, wine, a curated cocktail menu, and a strong mocktail program. You'll have significant creative freedom to develop drinks, seasonal specials, and new ideas for the program.
You'll also:
- Provide proactive, high-touch service throughout the café
- Prepare cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, and light food
- Make espresso and other coffee drinks before and during happy hour
- Handle stocking, inventory, ordering, cleaning, opening/closing, and general shop operations
- Work independently for much of your shift
Prior bartending experience is required, and strong cocktail knowledge is important. Barista experience is a plus, but we're happy to train an exceptional bartender on coffee and espresso.
We're looking for someone dependable, self-motivated, creative, and genuinely great with people. Must be 21+. Responsible alcohol-service certification is preferred; we'll provide it for the right candidate if needed.
