Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction teams. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. Your expertise will help ensure the structural integrity and quality of our projects, ranging from ductwork to complex assemblies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to safety and craftsmanship.
Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas),
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape, cut, and assemble metal parts.
- Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials safely around the worksite or shop floor.
- Measure dimensions accurately with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit-up according to blueprints and schematics.
- Conduct quality inspections using basic math skills and mechanical knowledge to verify welds meet ASME codes & standards as well as project specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding hazards, rigging procedures, and construction site regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience on construction sites or manufacturing environments involving welding operations.
- Expertise in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes; familiarity
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pipe threading, fabrication techniques, assembly processes, and ductwork installation.
- Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment efficiently.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards for welding quality assurance; ability to perform quality control inspections.
- Competence in using calipers, micrometers, schematics, and basic math for precise measurements.
- Ability to work safely with rigging equipment such as cranes; experience with forklift operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with schematics related to mechanical systems; soldering skills are advantageous.
- Strong teamwork ethic combined with mechanical knowledge for effective fabrication and assembly tasks in a fast-paced environment.
