Key Responsibilities:
* Assist individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities with daily living activities (ADLs), including meal preparation, dressing, grooming, and light housekeeping.
* Accompany individuals to recreational activities, appointments, and community events to promote independence and personal growth.
* Implement behavioral support plans, maintain a safe environment, and promote positive reinforcement.
* Accurately document daily progress notes, behavioral charts, and medical logs in compliance with agency policies.
* Assist with safe transfers and mobility as required by individual care plans.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a group home, assisted living facility, nursing home, or home care setting preferred (CNA, HHA, or PCA experience is a major plus!).
* Active In-Person CPR and TB results (Required).
* Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a patient, empathetic approach to care.
* Dependable transportation to and from shifts .
