Duties
- Erect and install metal frameworks for various building types, including commercial and industrial structures, following detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate assembly
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to handle steel framing components with precision
- Perform rebar installation, concrete forming, and masonry work as needed to support structural integrity
- Coordinate with project managers, carpenters, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow on-site
- Conduct quality inspections during framing processes to meet safety standards and project specifications
- Assist with site preparation, heavy lifting, and material handling to maintain efficient progress throughout construction phases
Skills
- Proven experience in metal building erection and frame carpentry techniques
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Skilled in welding, rebar installation, concrete finishing, plastering, roofing, siding, stucco, and remodeling tasks
- Proficient with hand tools such as drills, saws, hammers, levels, and measuring devices; experienced with power tools for framing tasks
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Excellent understanding of construction management principles and site safety protocols
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow detailed instructions accurately
