Job Overview
Top Drawer, a vintage retail store specializing in unique, one-of-a-kind finds, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Jewelry Maker to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for vintage fashion, jewelry design, and craftsmanship.
The Jewelry Maker will create, repair, and refresh unique jewelry pieces using vintage, antique, and new materials. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent hand skills, and an eye for combining colors, textures, stones, metals, and vintage components into distinctive pieces that reflect the Top Drawer aesthetic.
Responsibilities
- Design and handcraft unique jewelry pieces using vintage and contemporary materials
- Repair, resize, restring, and refurbish existing jewelry when needed
- Work with a variety of materials, including beads, gemstones, metals, chains, charms, and vintage components
- Source and creatively repurpose vintage jewelry and materials
- Maintain consistent quality and attention to detail across all pieces
- Develop designs that align with Top Drawer’s vintage and eclectic style
- Keep jewelry-making tools, materials, and work areas organized
- Assist with inventory and proper handling of jewelry-making supplies
- Collaborate with the retail team on new designs, collections, and special projects
- Stay current with jewelry and vintage fashion trends while maintaining an original creative perspective
Qualifications
- Previous experience making, repairing, or designing jewelry preferred
- Strong hand skills and excellent attention to detail
- Creative eye with a strong sense of style and color
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
- Experience working with vintage or upcycled materials is a plus
- Basic knowledge of jewelry tools and techniques
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines
- Passion for vintage fashion, unique accessories, and handcrafted goods
