Job Title: Wellfield Construction Superintendent

Overview:
The wellfield construction superintendent is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all wellfield construction activities, including skid installation, trenching, piping electrical instrumentation and site preparation. The role ensures construction is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering plans, regulatory plans, standards, environmental compliance, and production schedule. The superintendent plays a key leadership role by managing contractors’ performance, field staff, and maintaining close communication with engineering, wellfield, operations, and environmental departments. This position works closely with the Drilling Group, Mine Planning, Environmental, Accounting, and Wellfield Operations to coordinate projects. This is a field engineering position that requires quick decision-making using sound design principles
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily wellfield construction activities including electrical, instrumentation, trenching, piping, site preparation and other construction needs
- Ensure construction projects are executed to design specifications, schedules and within budget

Use engineering judgement to evaluate designs and make necessary improvements in the field

Oversee site preparation, layout, excavation and well alignment accuracy.

Directly supervise field construction crew and construction contractors

Coordinate multiple projects and avoid conflict and delays

Monitor compliance with safety and quality standards
- Work with other departments and project management teams to develop and maintain construction schedules.

Coordinate timely management of wellfield materials and supplies
- Inspect construction work to verify compliance with design drawings, engineering specs and standard operating procedures
- Ensure documentation and QA/QC logs are completed accurately.

Maintain accurate records of construction activities, deviations, and material usage.

Provide regular updates to leadership on project status, issues, and corrective actions
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mining, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering

10 plus years of engineering and project management experience

Experience in HDPE pipe fusing and piping engineering design is required

Experience in pump selection, pump controls, and instrumentation is required
