Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehab Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting individuals in their rehabilitation journey, providing support and guidance to help them achieve the goals set out by the patient and physical therapist. This position requires a strong understanding of rehabilitation principals, exercises, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients and in-house providers.
Responsibilities
- Think critically in order to execute the treatment plan set out by the therapist.
- Collaborate with the physical therapist to develop individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to each client's specific goals and challenges.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, setting up modalities, and hands-on techniques as directed by the physical therapist.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and chiropractors, to coordinate care.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on the latest rehabilitation practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences, Exercise physiology, or kinesiology is preferred.
- Previous experience in a physical therapy setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not required at the time of hire.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
