Overview
We are Citrus Heights Respiratory and Rehab and we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
SHIFT
- 6am - 6pm (DAYS)
- 6pm - 6am (OVERNIGHTS)
- Sunday - Tuesday
- Thursday - Saturday
- 3-4 12 hour shift / week
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide assistance with mobility and physical activities to enhance patient independence.
- Support nursing staff by performing basic medical tasks such as phlebotomy when required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with individuals with disabilities to provide personalized care.
Skills
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding medical terminology.
- Experience in a nursing home or outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
- Ability to phlebotomize and manage medical records efficiently.
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on empathy and compassion.
- Experience working with people with disabilities is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
