SG Computers is hiring an IT Intern (Level 1 Help Desk) to support our Managed IT Services team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly on help desk tickets, end-user support, device setup, and Microsoft 365 environments.
This is NOT a “shadowing” internship — you’ll gain real MSP experience supporting business clients.
Schedule
- 3 days/week onsite in Waltham, MA office
- MTW, or TWR
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 help desk support (tickets, email, phone)
- Troubleshoot basic IT issues (password resets, Outlook, printers, login issues)
- Set up and deploy laptops, desktops, and user workstations
- Assist with Microsoft 365 (email, Teams, OneDrive) support
- Create and manage user accounts (Active Directory / Azure AD)
- Document ticket updates and resolutions in PSA system
- Escalate advanced issues to senior engineers
- Support device inventory and IT asset tracking
Qualifications
Required:
- Pursuing degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic knowledge of:
- Windows OS
- Computer hardware / troubleshooting
- Strong communication and customer service mindset
Preferred:
- Microsoft 365 or Azure exposure
- Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, VPN)
- CompTIA A+ (or working toward it)

Compensation
