Job Summary:
The Program Coordinator provides case management, coordinates services including work experience placements and referrals, and provides direct services for WIOA Title I.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Plans and coordinates services for at-risk young adults who have disabilities or are economically disadvantaged.
· Participates in recruiting and reviewing referrals for eligibility.
· Completes intake and orientation for individuals accepted for services.
· Completes WIOA (Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act) application, enrollment, goal forms and eligibility paperwork.
· Inputs WIOA applications, enrollments, goal, case notes, exit, and supportive service information into CalJobs database system.
· Establishes and maintains working files.
· Completes and submits all documentation required for individual files.
· Assists individuals in establishing goals, expressing preferences, and resolving problems as well as linking young adults to resources in the community, moving towards meeting contract measures, common measures and outcomes.
· Develops young adult-driven Individual Service Strategy (ISS’s), plans and exit strategies. Updates the ISS monthly.
· Serves as liaison with representatives from County staff, other service providers, and families.
· Reports individual progress through ISS updates, case notes, telephone contacts, and meetings.
· Consults with program supervisor about workforce engagement and employment services, including suitability of placements, and level of intervention a young adult may need.
· Connects young adults to workshops, work experience, educational and employment activities.
· Participates in individual record reviews, internal file audits, county monitoring and quality assurance reviews.
· Assists individuals with wraparound service referrals related to benefits, healthcare, housing, and childcare needs and other supportive services including applying for new benefits or services.
· Advocates for individuals and reports suspected violations of rights or abuse.
· Participates in team meetings with internal staff and outside providers, as appropriate, and communicate individually with team members between meetings in order to coordinate.
· Maintains all documentation on assigned cases including up-to-date case notes, updating any required databases, completely required reports, and assembles documentation for billing.
· Adheres to program standards and outcomes as outlined in program policies/procedures, program contracts, and referral and accreditation agency standards.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Develops and continues relationships with employers, community organizations and leaders to assist participants in gaining and/or maintaining employment.
· Understands and utilizes local labor market information to help individuals make informed career choices.
· Implements relationship-building strategies with employers including presentations, special events, employer acknowledgement, and networking.
· Monitors work experience worksites and participants, develops training plans, and attends a performance evaluation with the participant and the site supervisor.
· Assist Mission Services staff young adults in finding employment or entering post-secondary education.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to speak/read/write proficient English; Bilingual skills preferred.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office/Office 365.
· Ability to market and place individuals with disabilities, lack of skills, negative work history, justice-involved, and/or multiple barriers to employment.
· Knowledge of the local labor market.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
· Works well under pressure and with deadlines; ability to multitask.
· Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
· Honesty, integrity, reliability, punctuality.
· Thorough knowledge about company’s mission and services.
· Uphold compliance with all legal, health, and safety guidelines.
Required Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or experience in job placement/staffing or working in young adult services.
· Valid driver license and insured/reliable vehicle.
· Background check.
