Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Crew Leader and Mover/Driver to join our team. As a Crew Leader and Mover/Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will be in charge of a crew of movers and will be responsible for them performing moves correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload items from the vehicle using proper lifting techniques
- Secure items in the vehicle to prevent damage during transportation
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues or malfunctions
- Assist with warehouse duties such as organizing inventory, using a pallet jack or forklift, and maintaining cleanliness
Skills:
- Experience driving a commercial vehicle, including manual transmission
- Ability to operate a refrigerated trailer is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy items and perform manual labor
- Knowledge of proper loading and unloading techniques to prevent damage
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
