This individual must possess strong experience in ground-up custom home construction and complex renovations while maintaining high standards for communication, organization, craftsmanship, leadership, and client experience. Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Superintendent or field leadership experience.
- Proven experience managing luxury ground-up custom homes.
- Experience managing high-end residential renovations and additions preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and building science.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
- Strong understanding of Tennessee building codes and inspection requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Must maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and team members.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and smartphone.
- Buildertrend experience preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
The primary responsibility of the JASPER Superintendent is to ensure the highest quality workmanship throughout every phase of construction while protecting JASPER's standards, schedule, culture, and client experience.
This position includes the following duties:
- Work closely with Project Managers to build and maintain project schedules, coordinate critical path items, and ensure successful project execution.
- Lead projects from preconstruction handoff through final completion.
- Review plans, specifications, schedules, scopes of work, and project requirements before construction begins.
Manage project schedules and critical path items including:
- Windows and doors
- Cabinetry and millwork
- Structural components
- MEP coordination
- Inspections
- Specialty finishes
- Long-lead materials
- Facilitate communication and alignment between all trade partners and project stakeholders.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, quality, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.
- Maintain organized, safe, clean, and efficient jobsites at all times.
- Be a proactive solution finder and problem solver. Whenever presenting an issue, also present recommended solutions.
- Protect and elevate the client experience through proactive communication and professionalism.
- Mentor field personnel and contribute to the development of future leaders within JASPER.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate daily logs in Buildertrend.
- Document progress with photos and project notes.
- Maintain punch lists and project documentation.
- Properly code and document receipts and purchase orders.
- Assist in documenting change orders and project adjustments.
(Note: Systems and procedures will be explained during onboarding.)
Project Workflow
- Once a project has been awarded and assigned, the typical workflow is as follows:
- Meet with the Project Manager to review:

PROACTIVE planning is critical to project success.
- Meet with the client and review site-specific logistics including:
a. Access
b. Site protection
c. Parking
d. Material staging
e. Client communication preferences
f. Site-specific requirements
- Meet with subcontractors and trade partners to review:
a. Schedule expectations
b. Scope alignment
c. Quality standards
d. Site logistics
e. Safety requirements
- Set up the project for success by establishing an organized, clean, and professional jobsite from day one. Protect all existing conditions and maintain site cleanliness throughout construction.
- Ensure permits, inspections, and required documentation are properly maintained and displayed.
- Coordinate and track material procurement, deliveries, and lead times. Verify all materials arrive in acceptable condition and document deliveries in Buildertrend.
- Coordinate and schedule inspections while ensuring all work is inspection-ready before requesting approval.
- Monitor manpower, sequencing, production, and schedule performance. Communicate potential delays early and proactively.
- Maintain exceptional quality control throughout construction. Address issues immediately rather than allowing punch items to accumulate.
- Drive project completion through punch list, closeout, final inspections, documentation, and client turnover.

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation Range:
$85,000 - $115,000 annually
Compensation will be determined based upon:
