Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Manager to oversee our collections department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of revenue cycle management. This role is crucial in ensuring timely collections while maintaining positive relationships with clients. The Collection Manager will be responsible for managing a team of collectors who oversee the operation of delivering merchandise and collecting payments while building relationships with customers that generates positive growth.
Duties
- Lead and manage the collections team to ensure efficient collection processes.
- Analyze accounts to identify delinquent accounts and develop strategies for recovery.
- Implement telemarketing strategies to follow up on overdue accounts.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections and report on progress.
- Train staff on phone etiquette, financial concepts, and effective communication techniques.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve disputes and enhance the overall revenue cycle management process.
- Assist on delivering of merchandise.
- Overseeing operations of the store and taking lead when manager is off-duty.
- Assist in backroom organizing merchandise
- Assist in product service that helps maintain things in working order.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in collections.
Requirements
- Proven experience in collections management or a similar role within the financial services
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with clients.
- Proficient in math skills for accurate calculations related to account balances.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
