Duties
- Greet guests warmly and introduce them to the Omakase experience with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Collaborate closely with sushi chefs to understand the menu offerings and ingredient details to accurately convey this information to guests
- Serve each course with precision, ensuring presentation and timing enhance the overall dining experience
- Upsell additional menu items or beverage pairings to elevate guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining area in accordance with health and safety standards
- Monitor guest feedback throughout the meal, making adjustments as needed to ensure complete satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant service, ideally with a background in sushi or Japanese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, or similar technical fields is a plus but not required; a passion for learning about intricate processes is essential
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests actively and positively
- Ability to communicate clearly about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Experience with upselling or sales techniques that enhance guest experience while increasing revenue
- Mechanical knowledge or automotive repair experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hands-on work is valued
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and adaptability
