Job Position Summary: Responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day shipping department and preparing items for shipment.

In your role, you will:

Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.

Prepare items for shipment according to shipping orders.
-
Compares identifying information such as count, weight or description of outgoing shipments against shipping orders or other records.
-
Assembles shipping containers and inserts items into containers using appropriate filler. Stamps, stencils, or marks identifying information and shipping instructions onto containers.

Posts weights, shipping charges and affixes postage.
-
Routes items and stock to appropriate destination as requested.

Maintains shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner.

Receives and records all incoming inventory distribution items and check-in items. Reports any discrepancies to management.

Performs part marking on all parts prior to shipments.

Maintains area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.

Maintains and inventories all shipping materials.
-
Access customer portals to retrieve shipping info to create ASN.

Follow, Update, and maintain packaging and shipping work instructions.

Maintains a clean organized work area.
Working Conditions:
-
Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.

May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
Physical Requirements:

Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.

May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.

Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
7:00am - 4:30pm with Saturdays as needed
