Organizational Growth Lead
Builder. Organizer. Problem Solver. Mission Partner.
Blossom Respite Café and Gardens
Leadership Role
Behind Every Beautiful Day...
On Tuesday mornings, people living with dementia gather around a table to share coffee, gardening, music, laughter, and conversation. Volunteers welcome them by name. Caregivers leave knowing their loved ones will spend the day surrounded by dignity, friendship, and purpose.
What visitors experience is warmth.
What they don't see are the systems, partnerships, grants, budgets, volunteers, and thoughtful planning that make those moments possible.
Behind every beautiful day at Blossom is someone helping build the organization that allows it to happen.
We're looking for that person.
Why Blossom?
Blossom Respite Café and Gardens is an award-winning, nature-based respite program for people living with early-stage dementia and their care partners. What began as a community initiative has grown into an innovative model attracting interest from healthcare leaders, universities, researchers, and community organizations.
We're not simply expanding a program—we're building an organization that can become a leading model for nature-based dementia care, education, and research.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional operations role.
It begins as a leadership volunteer position with a planned transition to compensation as Blossom continues to grow and strengthen its financial sustainability.
Working closely with the Founder and leadership team, you'll help build the organizational foundation that will support Blossom's next chapter.
Building Something Meaningful Isn't Always Neat
We're still building.
Some days everything runs beautifully.
Some days we're creating solutions to challenges we didn't know existed the day before.
If you're looking for an organization where every process is already established, this probably isn't the right fit.
But if you're energized by creating order from complexity, building systems that help good people do extraordinary work, and knowing your efforts directly improve the lives of families living with dementia, you'll likely feel at home here.
We're less interested in perfection than in progress.
The work can be challenging.
The mission is unwavering.
What You'll Help Build
- Organizational systems and workflows that support sustainable growth.
- Financial oversight, bookkeeping, grant administration, compliance, and reporting.
- Fundraising support, donor stewardship, communications, and community partnerships.
- Strategic planning that expands Blossom while preserving its deeply relationship-centered culture.
- Collaborative leadership alongside our Volunteer Coordinator and leadership team.
Who Will Thrive Here?
You enjoy building organizations more than simply maintaining them.
You're strategic, collaborative, resourceful, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities evolve as opportunities emerge.
Experience in nonprofit leadership, healthcare, education, business operations, finance, or community organizations is valuable—but your commitment to building something meaningful matters even more.
Why This Role Matters
Every operational improvement creates more time for human connection.
Every successful grant supports another family.
Every new partnership expands what is possible.
This role isn't simply about managing operations.
It's about creating the conditions where people living with dementia continue to experience dignity, purpose, joy, and belonging.
