Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary plans, ensuring safety and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Support residents with medication administration following care plans and safety protocols.
- Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards.
- Document care activities, resident progress, and incidents thoroughly to ensure accurate record-keeping for care plans and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and medication administration.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, developmental and intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and family members while ensuring resident safety.
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality is essential.
