The lead teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a program to teach their classroom within a Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum as well as observation and progress charting of each child in their care. The lead teacher should be prepared to assist in the potty training of all the children in the classroom, working alongside the parents as they navigate the potty training journey (for 2's room only). The lead teacher is responsible for the safety and development of the children. The lead teacher will communicate with parents, additional classroom staff, and administration to provide, to the best of their abilities, the safest and best care and instruction for their classroom.
Lead teachers must be teacher certified under the current DCFS criteria for Early Education Standards.'
