If you are someone who loves to laugh and have fun, wanting to help someone in need, this is the perfect job for you. We work with Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to help them become as independent as possible in their home and community. A residential DSP works with no more that 4 people in their home assisting them with anything from showing them how to do their laundry to helping them cook their own meals. This is not a mental health job or a behavioral health job, this is just help people with different abilities live a life just like anyone else would.
This is a 24 hour shift. You work 2 days a week and off 5 days. This is a rotating schedule. You will not have a set day to work. You do have your own bedroom/bathroom. We also provide a Van for you and the individuals to go out in the community to eat, watch movies, and shopping.
