The Paraprofessional will implement, NOT DEVELOP,lesson plans provided by Special Education Teacher/Case Manager, Classroom Teacher, Speech Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist,Psychologist, and ConsultantsSole responsibility for the supervision of students should not be assigned toParaprofessionals. Paraprofessionals work under the close supervision of a member or members of the instructional or administrative staff at all times.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads, understands, and implements Individual Education Program (IEP)goals and objectives as directed by Special Education Teacher/Case Manager, Classroom Teacher, Speech Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Psychologist, and ConsultantsFacilitates participation of students in accessing the general curriculumGathers, collects and records data, on data sheets, related to IEP goals;shares information, observations and insights with team membersSupports and implements the school's values and practices regardinginstructional strategies, expectations for peer behavior, peer interactionand inclusionInforms Special Education Case Manager, Classroom Teacher, and other district staff of student progressAttends, participates, and integrates information learned in weekly Paraprofessional meetings, Special Education team meetings/conferencesinto classroom as directedMaintains strict confidentiality regarding all student informationPrepares educational materials as directed by Special Education Teacher/Case Manager, Classroom Teacher, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Therapist, Physical therapist, Psychologist, and Consultants.Creates substitute paraprofessional plansPrepares Medicaid paperworkAttends workshops and trainings as needed (7.25 hours of work per day)Carr iesover of learned behaviors and skills, including the use of assistive technology, throughout the daily schedule as recommended by the Special Education/Case Manager, Classroom Teacher, and related service personnelWorks with students as assigned by administrator.
