Position Title: Worship Band Acoustic Guitarist
Reports To: Director of Music & Arts and Worship, Contemporary Worship Band Leader
Department: Music
Non-Exempt: Weekly contract
Job Summary: The acoustic guitarist will be an integral player in the 9:00am worship service. This includes a rehearsal warm-up on Sunday mornings, the 9:00am service, and a mid-week rehearsal that is planned/coordinated by the contemporary worship band leader.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Provide music support during the worship services.
2. Assist with set-up and storage of music equipment when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency on your instrument.
- Ability to read lead sheets, chord charts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including professional phone and email etiquette.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well in a team environment and to effectively communicate with ministers, staff, band members, guests, etc.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive culture.
Job Type: Part-time - Varies. Up to 3.5 hour per week.
Pay: $100.00 per week
