Server (FOH) | Wake ‘n Bacon – Lakeview
Wake ‘n Bacon, a high-energy brunch concept in Lakeview with Hispanic, Asian, and American influences, is looking for a strong, hospitality-driven Server to join our team.
While we are a counter-service concept, this role is very guest-focused and hands-on, similar to a full-service environment. We are looking for someone who understands hospitality, not just order-taking or counter service.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Hourly + tips (averaging $20–$30/hour)
- Part-time (weekend-focused)
- Must be available Saturdays and Sundays
- Shifts: 7am–3pm / 9am–5pm (must be flexible for both)
- Location: 420 W. Belmont (near Lake Shore Drive)
What You’ll Do:
- Provide a full-service style guest experience in a counter-service environment
- Actively engage with guests by touching tables, checking in, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit
- Deliver food to tables, explain dishes, and create a memorable experience
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor, not behind the counter
- Bus and reset tables quickly to maintain flow and cleanliness
- Assist with expediting food to ensure accuracy and timing
- Take orders, process payments, and manage takeout/delivery orders
- Answer phones and assist guests with questions and orders
- Prepare and serve coffee and beverages as needed
- Package food and sauces for dine-in and takeout
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the FOH at all times
- Jump in wherever needed to support the team during busy service

- Someone who is not willing to clean, bus tables, or support the team
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant serving experience strongly preferred
- Coffee/barista experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stay composed and efficient under pressure
- Knowledge of Toast POS is a plus
