Duties
- Monitor inmate activity through CCTV surveillance and maintain accurate records of daily operations
- Enforce correctional policies and procedures, including restraint procedures and application of force when necessary
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid, CPR, Taser deployment, and other law enforcement tools
- Manage inmate behavior using conflict management techniques and inmate supervision strategies
- Conduct security checks, heavy lifting tasks, manual handling, and inmate searches to ensure facility safety
- Write detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and facility operations following correctional report writing standards
- Assist with emergency response readiness by participating in drills and adhering to criminal justice policies
Requirements
- Proven experience working with incarcerated individuals or in law enforcement environments
- Knowledge of CCTV operation, security protocols, and correctional policy compliance
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR, Taser use, fire arms handling in law enforcement, and self-defense techniques
- Familiarity with criminal justice policy and correctional restraint procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely under pressure
- Strong conflict management skills coupled with excellent report writing abilities
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively during emergency situations with a focus on safety and protocol adherence
