JOB SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible to assist our residential and commercial contractor customer base on how our products can help them meet with their Hardscape or Masonry goals. The Inside Sales Representative must produce quotations, answer customer questions, and make suggestive selling recommendations based on a thorough understanding of customer expressed needs and our knowledge of our products. The Inside Sales Representative must also insure proper and timely payment and insure the ordering, scheduling and delivery the materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This is a customer-facing position that combines sales, project estimating, technical product knowledge, and logistics coordination.
On a typical day, you'll:
- Work directly with homeowners, contractors, masons, and landscape professionals in our showroom, over the phone, and by email.
- Help customers plan projects by calculating material quantities, estimating costs, and preparing detailed quotations.
- Use math daily to determine paver quantities, wall block counts, stone coverage, concrete volumes, mortar requirements, drainage materials, and other project calculations.
- Learn about many hardscape and masonry, including their applications, installation methods, specifications, and compatible accessories to confidently recommend the right solution for each project.
- Ask questions to understand each customer's goals and recommend products that best fit their budget, design, and performance needs.
- Coordinate with purchasing, dispatch, and our yard team to ensure materials are ordered, in stock, loaded correctly, and delivered on schedule.
- Manage multiple customer projects at different stages while balancing walk-in traffic, phone calls, emails, and contractor deadlines.
- Build long-term relationships with repeat customers who rely on your knowledge and service throughout the construction season.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED. Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
Knowledge:
- Must have a thorough knowledge of all applicable safety procedures and strictly follow these principles.
- Understanding of terminology common to the hardscape and masonry industry.
- Computer experience required using MS Word and Excel.
- Masonry, Hardscaping, Architectural/construction experience helpful.
Abilities:
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and logistics/project management software programs.
- Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
- Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Must work cooperatively with other company employees.
- Excellent customer service and listening skills required.
- Excellent math skills are required, with the ability to calculate the quantity of material needed for customer orders.
- Must be a fast learner with the ability to recognize commonly ordered product lines, product codes, pricing, payment terms, and a good understanding of the product uses and requirements to be able to offer suggestive selling and provide recommendations to best satisfy the customer’s needs.
- Must be able to type out quotations and other customer correspondence.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions in the English language and write legibly.
- Complete company forms to record or report information in a standard format as specified by the form.

- Work schedule is generally Monday – Saturday. However, there may be occasions when it will be necessary to work extended hours. There may be days when no work is scheduled due to severe weather conditions.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Initial performance review may be done after three months. Future evaluations will be done on an annual basis on or about the anniversary date of the employee. Salary increases are based on individual and company performance.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
