Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Periodontist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry and specialized training in periodontics, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care while maintaining the highest standards of dental practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive examinations of patients' gums and teeth to assess periodontal health.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with periodontal disease, including non-surgical and surgical options.
- Perform advanced dental procedures such as root canal therapy, gum grafting, and dental implants.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of periodontal health.
- Stay updated on advancements in periodontics and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in periodontics.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental fabrication techniques.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience in general dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
